Weber State University officials say a 24-year-old student accidentally shot himself while on campus.

University spokesman John Kowalewski said that the man has a permit that allows him to carry a concealed weapon on campus.

Kowalewski says the injury was not life-threatening after the Wednesday evening shooting. He says the man was taken to a hospital in Ogden to be treated.
