There is another hush, hush under the table deal brewing, orchestrated by the Orem City Management to hamstring all Orem taxpayers for multiple years to subsidize the University Mall development project.

It is not the proper role of city government to subsidize or treat one big private enterprise business over another and/or smaller businesses without voter approval.

The city management has engaged a $30,000 study to determine how much subsidy and for how many years, to rebate sales tax and property tax back to the mall.

The elected city council has been instructed not to discuss any provisions of this RDA-CDA give back program, taking away their First Amendment rights.

Contact the elected mayor and city council members, asking for transparency in city government and expressing your opinion on this proposal.
