Obesity is a real health problem in Utah

Sep 20, 2014

Obesity, what does that mean? It is the condition of being very fat or overweight. Being fat isn’t a problem, but people need to realize that being obese isn’t good for their health.

You need to be happy with your body, but you don’t need to say someone is beautiful when they are morbidly obese. They need to lose weight or do something with their lifestyle before it starts cutting down on their lifespan and causing them health problems.

Most scientists have proven time and time again that being overweight means you are more prone to heart failure. Utah’s obesity rate goes up 1 percent each year, and currently there is 24.4 percent of the population is overweight. It is said that by 2030 Utah’s obesity rate will be approximately 46.4 percent.
