New LDS missions and presidents named

PROVO – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the names of newly announced missions and new mission presidents.

Orem resident Chris Killpack will serve as the mission president for the new Utah Orem Mission.

Other new missions include the Utah Logan Mission, with President Jerald K. Allred; Trinidad Port of Spain Mission, with President Gregory W. Egbert; Costa Rica San Jose West Mission, with President German Laboriel Guitty; Portugal Porto Mission, with President Joni  L. Koch; Washington Yakima Mission, with President John C. Lewis; California Modesto Mission, president to be announced; Argentina Buenos Aires East Mission, president to be announced; and Argentina Santa Fe Mission, with President Gabriel Perez Benavides.

Several other missions throughout the world will see changes in presidents. Mission presidents typically serve for a three-year period and begin their service the first week in July.
