American Fork Gordmans closing along with two other Utah locations

By Karissa Neely daily Herald - | Apr 7, 2017

The American Fork Gordmans did not make the cut.

The location’s future has been up in the air since March 13, when the department store chain announced it was filing for bankruptcy. At the time, it was reported that all Gordmans would be closing.

When Stage Stores Inc., another department store chain, bought Gordmans’ assets March 30, it announced it would keep about half of the current Gordmans open. Stage Stores and Gordmans said this week that three stores in and near Utah County — American Fork, Midvale and Farmington — will close.

According to information on the Gordmans website, the South Jordan and Ogden stores will remain open for now.

The three Utah stores will be liquidated of their assets by Tiger Capital Group, LLC, and Great American Group, LLC, pursuant to their joint bid with Stage. An official closing date for the three stores has not yet been announced.

Starting at $4.32/week.
