AMERICAN FORK

D-Day concert – The Timpanogos Chorale will perform “Sentimental Journey: A Musical Tribute for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day” at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 20 at American Fork Junior High School. Suggested donations are $5 per person or $15 for a family. Upcoming performances including noon, June 22 at the St. George Tabernacle and 4 p.m., June 29 at the Americana Arts Festival in American Fork.Ukulele camp registration – Registration is open for free beginner and intermediate ukulele camps from June 18-21 at the American Fork Arts Institute, 53 W. Main St. The beginner camp from 2:30 to 3:25 p.m. is for students ages 9-18 with no previous experience. Bring your own ukulele and make sure it’s tuned. The intermediate camp from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. is for students with at least one semester of ukulele experience. Library events – Upcoming events at the American Fork Library include: May 20: Food, Fun and Reading at 11:30 a.m. offers free lessons for pre-K to second grade and includes a snack. Sponsored by USU Extension Food $ense. May 22: Magic: The Gathering Club at 4 p.m. for ages 10 and up. All experience levels welcome. May 23: Teen Harry Potter Book Club at 5 p.m. Read “Prisoner of Azkaban” to discuss together. May 28: Fathering with Love and Logic classes start at 6 p.m. and continues through June 25. Registration required. May 28: Library Reading Challenge Book Discussion at 7 p.m. Read one of the monthly prompts and take part in an informal discussion.Table Time — Artists are welcome to work on their individual art projects while collaborating with others from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Tuesday, except holidays, at Historic City Hall. The first hour is free for a first-time participant. Rates are $10 per hour or get a discount with a punch card available at Table Time.

CEDAR HILLS

Family Festival Pickleball Rocks Tournament – Registration is open for the fourth annual pickleball tournament during Cedar Hills Family Festival Days at the Alpine Pickleball Courts in Burgess Park on June 7 and 8. There will be men’s, women’s and mixed doubles events. The cost is $30 per event. Save $5 by registering by May 15. Bingo night — Adults 18 and older can play Bingo at the Cedar Hills Community Recreation Center at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays. Prizes and snacks will be provided. Cost is $10 for 10 cards. No children allowed.

Food Truck Rally – Food Truck League of Utah will coordinate food truck rallies from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Mommy and Me Music Makers – A weekly class to promote musicality and literacy for little ones up to age 5 as they bond with their parents. The class will be held Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. from Feb. 6 through May 22 at the Cedar Hills Community Recreation Center. Summer Bowling League – Cedar Hills Recreation, in partnership with Jack & Jill Lanes, offers bowling lessons for boys and girls in grades K-12. Six weekly lessons, with two games, instruction and shoe rental, are all included with the $40 registration fee. Lessons will start at 2 p.m. on Mondays between July 8 and Aug. 12 at the lanes. Tee ball, coach pitch registration open – Registration for tee ball, for 4- and 5-year-olds, and coach pitch, for 6- and 7-year-olds, is open online. Lacrosse registration open – Cedar Hills Recreation partners with Central Utah Youth Lacrosse for boys in grades 3 to 8. The six-game season features regional teams from Orem to Mapleton. LEGO Summer Camps – Kids from 5 to 12 can explore principles of engineering and physics with LEGO Summer Camps at the Cedar Hills Community Rec Center. Registration is open for camps running June 18 to 22. The cost is $150 and people may register online at http://www.cedarhills.org/recreation.

LEHI

Volunteers Needed — The Lehi Senior Center is looking for a volunteer to teach basic computer classes. If interested, call the center at (385) 201-2350.LINDON

Senior bus — The Lindon Senior Center has a bus and is able to offer rides to and from the center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This is available for Lindon resident seniors. Pick-ups are between 10 and 11 a.m. Drop-offs are between 1 and 2 p.m. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Contact the Senior Center front desk at (801) 769-8625.

PAYSON

Volunteer at the library — Friends of the Payson Library notes that residents can volunteer for an hour or less each month to help the library meet the needs of children and patrons. Volunteers are asked to offer ideas and support the group’s yearly book sale. PLEASANT GROVE

Lions Club eye exams — Pleasant Grove Lions Club has a number of certificates good for eye exams and eyeglasses to be used for children, ages 5 to 17, who have no budget means for this service. SANTAQUIN

Senior Companion Program – Do you need help getting to the store, doctor or other appointments? The Senior Companion Program can help. Volunteers can help run errands or visit. Volunteers needed — The Senior Companion Program needs seniors, age 55 and older, to serve other seniors. Volunteers will receive a $200 stipend and mileage reimbursement. SARATOGA SPRINGS

Community Orchestra – The Saratoga Springs Community Orchestra holds practices on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the city offices, 1307 N. Commerce Drive. The orchestra will be preparing for Saratoga Splash Days and the December holiday concerts.

Springville contractors and railroads lecture – The monthly Springville Historical Society Lecture at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 will feature society President Daryl Tucker discussing “Springville Contractors and Their Role in the Building of the Railroads — Promontory Point, etc.” The public is invited to the event at the Springville Art Museum.UTAH COUNTY

Foster grandparents sought – Utah County is seeking senior volunteers to serve as foster grandparents. Volunteers must be limited-income individuals at least 55 years old and able to serve 15 or more hours per week. Volunteers serve as mentors, tutors and caregivers for children and youth at schools, hospitals, youth centers and similar organizations. Volunteers receive a non-taxable stipend, paid personal leave, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training and more. Utah County Home Visit Programs in need of donations – Utah County Health Department home visit programs are running low on donated resources such as baby blankets and diapers. The health department is asking Utah County community members to consider donating items or organizing service projects to assist in providing donations. The items most needed are new receiving blankets or small quilts and diapers. Other welcomed items include: infant “onesies,” knit hats and infant-appropriate board books. Items should be in new condition. Donations may be dropped off Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the following health department locations: Provo — 151 S.
