Job seekers rejoice, after a two-year hiatus, Utah’s largest job fair is back.

The Utah Valley Job Fair will take place on Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. at the Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo. There will be 130 employers in attendance, including Boeing, Vivint, Intermountain Healthcare and more.

All job-seekers are welcome, whether they are currently unemployed or are looking for a better job. Opportunities for students seeking entry-level work and even employees with decades of experience alike will be featured.

“We’ve got everything from your entry-level to your senior-level position, and anything and everything in between that,” said Patrick Donegan, a workforce development specialist with the Utah Department of Workforce Services. “You name it, they’re going to be at the job fair right now.”

Part-time, full-time and telework openings in a variety of industries will be featured at the fair. According to Donegan, the market is a boon for job-seekers as employers look to fill openings.

“The job market is red hot,” Donegan said. “The power dynamic is kind of changed and the way that I look at this is pre-pandemic the power was with the employers so to speak, and then after the pandemic, it’s really swung to the job-seekers.”

According to Donegan, post-pandemic wages are higher, and many employers are offering additional incentives to new employees including hiring bonuses, flexible schedules and company dinners to entice new workers.

“I think, with the pandemic, a lot of people kind of re-evaluated their priorities and what they wanted out of life and employers are taking note of that,” Donegan said. “So if they can they’re offering a lot of flexibility.”
