Significant health problems have created challenging times for Daniel and Aliya.

Daniel, who was in the ICU on life support for much of last year, is out of the hospital but remains on dialysis.

Aliya now takes care of Daniel and their three children while trying to make ends meet with a part-time job. Money is tight.

“We can barely pay the bills and there is nothing left for Christmas,” Aliya said.

United Way of Utah County’s Sub for Santa program wants to step in and ensure that families and children have a memorable Christmas this holiday season.

Daniel and Aliya are asking for warm clothes for their children, along with some additional trinkets.

Camden needs pants, shirts and a jacket and would like children’s books, along with some toy trains and toy cars. For Adam, a hoodie, pants and a jacket are a necessity, and he would like anything car-related as a gift.

Caroline needs new jeans, shirts and hoodies to wear and is asking for My Little Ponies and cinnamon roll plushies.

United Way of Utah County invites all to get involved this holiday season. If you would like to be part of this annual holiday initiative and help bring the Christmas spirit to those in need, visit subforsanta.org.

Starting at $4.32/week.
