Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has ordered flags of the United States of America to fly at half staff at all state facilities Monday in honor of former U.S Rep. Mia Love.

The former congresswoman and mayor of Saratoga Springs died at the age of 49 on March 23, after a yearslong battle with brain cancer.

In the wake of Love’s death, Utah is recognizing her life, legacy and service.

Love will lie in state at the Utah Capitol Building on Sunday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute of Religion on the University of Utah campus. The public is invited to attend on both days.

The governor extends an invitation to private citizens, businesses and organizations to lower flags to the half-staff position at sunrise Monday and return to full staff at sunset.

Starting at $4.32/week.
