It’s been almost a year since Utah-owned restaurant Vessel Kitchen opened its first Utah County location in American Fork last September.

On Friday, Vessel Kitchen will ceremoniously open the doors on its second Utah County restaurant, this time in Orem.

Co-founder Roe’e Levy said the new location signals a landmark in the business’s nine-year journey.

“Opening our ninth restaurant — right here in Orem, just down the road from where I studied culinary arts at Utah Valley University — feels like a full-circle moment,” he said. “This milestone is more than growth; it’s personal. We’re excited to become part of the fabric of Orem and show up with the same heart, creativity and care that’s guided us since Day 1.”

In a press release, Vessel Kitchen says its restaurants are “redefining fast-causal dining” by prioritizing flavorful, nourishing and flexible meals.

Their menu features signature bowls, salads, creative items like naan tacos, and comfort foods like mac and cheese, as well as popular dishes such as the Utah Bowl and Hash Hash. Vessel Kitchen has options for people with various food sensitivities and diet requirements, according to its media release.

Levy added that each restaurant has its own subtle personality expressed in the decor with touches of local flair — and he’s excited for Orem locals to see what they’ve done with the location in person.

“All of our locations are rooted in our signature style: clean, contemporary and warm spaces where people can gather and feel recharged,” he said.

Levy said the response to the American Fork location has been exceptional and Vessel Kitchen is excited to expand to another corner of the county.

“We knew that we would get the support of the community, because we’ve been getting daily notes from our customers about the need south of the point of the mountain,” he told the Daily Herald in a statement Monday. “But as always, we had our doubts: Will people get what we do? Will they connect with our flavors, our approach, our slightly obsessive love for roasting vegetables? I’m happy to say that the answer has been a resounding yes.”

Vessel Kitchen’s Orem restaurant is located at 115 W. Center St. in the space previously occupied by Corner Bakery.

The new restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Vessel Kitchen is inviting community members and food lovers to its grand opening celebration Friday. The restaurant has festivities planned for the entire day — with special promotions, giveaways, activities and more, the release states.

Starting at $4.32/week.
