Christmas comes at a tumultuous time for Erika, who is hoping to provide gifts to her five children this year but said it is impossible to do on her own.

Erika said she recently escaped an abusive relationship with her partner, but that circumstances involving the split caused her to lose her job and apartment.

“I have been looking for employment but haven’t found anything yet that works with my availability with my children, making Christmas impossible this year for me to do on my own,” Erika said.

Thanks to United Way and the generous support of the Utah County community, Erika will be able to provide Christmas to her family this year.

On the wish list for Erika’s 10-year-old daughter is a small mini fridge, a slime kit and a Minecraft book. The second eldest daughter, who is nine, would like crafts, a slime kit and a girly book.

The oldest son, 8, wants Legos and Minecraft, while the youngest boy, 3, wants Batman and Spiderman toys and superhero books. The youngest daughter, 1, wants learning toys or a talking baby doll.

Each of the kids need long-sleeve shirts, gloves and sweatpants. The two youngest children both need coats.

Starting at $4.32/week.
