A fourth person was arrested in connection with a Dec. 23 shooting in Eagle Mountain, the Utah County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.

Leopoldo Gutierrez, 25, of Lehi, was arrested Monday on suspicion of two counts of aggravated attempted murder, 18 counts of felony discharge of a firearm, riot, criminal mischief, unauthorized possession of a firearm or operable motor vehicle and disorderly conduct.

According to the sheriff’s office, a 23-year-old victim was shot and injured around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 on the corner of Morgan Way and Wilde Horse Way after an altercation involving juveniles and adults.

Three juveniles were arrested and booked into Slate Canyon Juvenile Detention with the same charges as Gutierrez.

The shooting victim was moved to an ICU unit in the hospital and was in critical condition. The sheriff’s office said Tuesday the victim’s condition has improved.

“We hope they continue to make good improvements on their road to recovery,” a statement said.
