An 18-year-old Santaquin man was killed in a single-car crash Tuesday afternoon near Mosida.

The Utah Highway Patrol said Bo Davis Knight was driving north on state Route 68 near mile marker 14 in southern Utah County around 1:27 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control on a turn in the roadway. The vehicle ran off the road, went through a fence and rolled.

AirMed and local officers responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but Knight died from his injuries.

Nick Einbender, who said via Facebook that he is Knight’s uncle, set up a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign to support the family.

“Bo was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him,” Einbender wrote. “He had an infectious energy and a heart that made everyone feel loved and seen. Whether he was performing on stage, dancing, singing, or cheering, Bo lived fully and unapologetically. He participated in an incredible range of activities — competitive clogging, dance company, theater, choir, and competitive cheer. His creativity and charisma were unmatched.”

As of Wednesday afternoon, the GoFundMe had raised over $25,000 in funds with a goal of $45,000.

Starting at $4.32/week.
