In another signal of the population boom in one of Utah’s fastest-growing cities, portions of northern Lehi will now have a new ZIP code.
According to a United States Postal Service media release issued May 30, the new ZIP code is 84048 and is slated to take effect July 1.
Lehi’s population, according to 2024 data from the U.S Census Bureau, sits at roughly 90,000 people, up from 75,918 residents counted during the census four years prior.
However, Lehi has only ever had one ZIP code, 84043, and only one post office, which sits at 333 E. Main St.
With Lehi’s ongoing growth, the U.S. Postal Service said the added ZIP code is needed to accommodate new residents and homes in the area.

“The new ZIP Code became necessary due to the rapid growth in the area and allows for the addition of new delivery routes and new addresses in the area,” the agency said in a statement. “Adding the new ZIP Code will also help the Postal Service to sort, ship and deliver the mail more efficiently.”
A map provided by the U.S. Postal Service outlines the affected areas where the new ZIP code will go into effect, including in the Traverse Mountain area, north of Timpanogos Highway and areas west of Interstate 15 near 2100 North.
All other portions of Lehi will keep their 84043 ZIP code.
People unsure if their property will be impacted by the change are welcome to contact the Lehi post office.
“All postal customers affected by these changes are being notified by mail. If a customer does not receive written notification, they are unaffected by these changes,” the U.S. Postal Service’s release states.
The agency goes on to encourage affected customers to start using their new ZIP code and notify family, friends, business customers and associates. In the meantime, the U.S. Postal Service assured that mail with either ZIP code will be delivered for one year following the change.
Mail for the 84048 ZIP code area will continue to be delivered out of the Lehi post office.
