Lone Peak Police increases reward for information on unauthorized construction board message

Lone Peak Police announced Thursday the reward has increased to $5,000 as the investigation continues.
According to police, the unauthorized alteration of the message board was seen on Canyon Crest Road in Alpine on the night of Friday, Oct. 24.
Police said media reports have referenced a “local high school athlete” whose name was associated with the incident but said that person was determined not to be involved following a “thorough interview.”
Police initially offered a $1,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact Lone Peak police at 801-756-9800.
