One of Utah County’s most popular fall attractions will open next week for its 30th anniversary season, despite a significant amount of vandalism done to some of its property.

Cornbelly’s in Lehi sustained up to $60,000 in damages by alleged vandals back in March, according to a social media post by the Lehi Police Department on Thursday.

Kamille Combs, spokesperson for Cornbelly’s, said the primary damage was a large number of broken windows, graffiti on some of the property and refrigerators tipped over that have to be replaced.

The corn maze and pumpkin fest is preparing to open on Sept. 19, regardless of the financial impact due to needed repairs.

“Though we had some damage that occurred and that is really unfortunate, we have been focused on getting everything repaired and ready to open for our 30th anniversary season this month and are excited to welcome people back,” Combs told the Daily Herald in a statement.

Police released photos of the suspected individuals and believe they may have used slingshots, steel ball bearings, golf balls and possibly an air rifle to carry out the alleged vandalism.

“We believe the individuals reside in the area and believe that with the public’s help we can identify them and help Cornbelly’s recoup some of their loss as they prepare for another fun season at Thanksgiving Point,” police said in its social media post.

Authorities in Lehi ask for anyone with information about the individuals in the alleged act to contact them.

Cornbelly’s operates two locations — in Lehi, located at 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, and in Spanish Fork, located at 3687 W. 5600 South. The Spanish Fork location is already open for the season.

Starting at $4.32/week.
