Payson resident Taylor Crane, 15, is pictured.

Police are requesting the public’s help in locating Taylor Crane, a 15-year-old Payson boy who has been missing since Aug. 23.

Crane’s last known location was the Utah County Academy of Sciences campus in Provo between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 22, and there were unconfirmed sightings of Crane near the Rock Canyon Trailhead and 900 East in Provo that evening.

Sgt. Austin Cobbley of the Payson Police Department told the Daily Herald on Monday they believe Crane is still in the Utah County area.

“Anybody that has any sightings or any information is definitely encouraged to reach out through our Central Dispatch,” Cobbley said. “And then it’s Detective Ryan Cunningham. That is the assigned detective.”

According to police, Crane is approximately 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds and has hazel eyes and blonde hair.

On Aug. 23, he was seen wearing a black shirt, grey jeans, black shoes, a white backpack and had a scooter that was green with stickers on the stem, police said.

While Payson police are investigating the case, a spokesperson for Provo police said the boy is on Provo’s patrol lookout list.

Starting at $4.32/week.
