A Provo police car is parked on Center Street on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

A 90-year-old woman was killed in a traffic accident Tuesday after two vehicles collided at an intersection in Provo.

Authorities responded to the accident at 2230 North and University Avenue at 11:17 a.m., according to a Provo police news release.

The woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, died from her injuries, and the drivers of both vehicles were treated for their injuries, with one being transported to a local hospital in stable condition, police said.

Police are not releasing the woman’s name at this stage out of respect for the victim’s family and others directly affected.
