Utah County Sheriff’s Office requests public help in investigation of death of Elizabeth Elena Laguna-Salgado

Elizabeth Elena Laguna-Salgado is pictured.The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is requesting any information from the public regarding the ongoing investigation of the death of Elizabeth Elena Laguna-Salgado.
Salgado was 26 when she was last seen on April 16, 2015, in Provo, and her body was discovered May 18, 2018 in Hobble Creek Canyon.
Since her body was discovered, the sheriff’s office and other agencies have been investigating the circumstances surrounding her death and have fielded numerous community tips, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Interviews are currently being performed to verify the possibilities of additional direction,” a news release said.
As detectives go through the process of confirming or ruling out possible new and existing information, the sheriff’s office is requesting anyone with new information related to the case to call the Investigations Division of the Utah County Sheriff’s Office at (801) 851-4010.
“It is possible someone saw something in Provo or in Hobble Creek Canyon that is related to Elizabeth’s disappearance and death,” the sheriff’s office said.
