One dead in a four-vehicle crash in Springville

A Springville police vehicle is pictured.A driver was killed in a four-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Springville, Springville police confirmed.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., a vehicle was traveling southbound on Main Street approaching 1400 North in Springville when it left its lane and collided with oncoming traffic, according to a statement Police Chief Lance Haight provided to the Daily Herald.
Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene to provide aid, but the southbound driver could not be revived, the statement said. All occupants of the other vehicles received non-life-threatening injuries and were not taken to the hospital, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing, and Springville police have no additional details to release at this time.
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the driver who did not survive this tragic accident,” Springville police said.
