An employer and job seeker talk together at the 2022 Utah Valley Job Fair held at the Utah Valley Convention Center. This year's job fair will be held Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. at the convention center.

Employment seekers of all ages are invited to attend one of the state’s largest job fairs this week in Provo.

The Utah Valley Job Fair will take place from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Utah Valley Convention Center, featuring more than 112 employers across a range of sectors.

Those looking for professional jobs in industries from government to health care, high schoolers and college students seeking part-time work, and those in need of a fresh start may find what they’re looking for.

“If they’re looking for a new job, if they’re unemployed, if they just want to come and check us out, then they should come to the Utah Valley Job Fair,” event organizer and Mountainland Applied Technology College marketing director Mark Middlebrook said. “Bring resumes. Some individual employers might interview you on the spot.”

Tuesday will mark the 10th annual job fair at the convention center. The fair used to be in the spring, but was recently changed to the fall, where there is an influx of college students moving into the valley and more people looking for a job, Middlebrook said. Last year saw 500 attendees.

Those who do arrive, Middlebrook suggested, should come wearing business attire, have a 30-second elevator pitch ready to share with an employer and bring a printed resume.

“Just like Mom and Dad said, have a hard copy and dress up in shirt and tie,” he said. “It it won’t hurt you, that’s for sure.”

Starting at $4.32/week.
