Orem police said the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near 700 N. State St. The driver of the vehicle reportedly stopped immediately and called 9-1-1, and the victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Orem Police Major Accident Investigation Team, and the vehicle driver is cooperating with the investigation, according to a news release.

“Preliminary information suggests that alcohol or other substances were not factors in the collision,” police said. “The investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.”
