President Dallin H. Oaks to give first devotional as prophet Tuesday at BYU

Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at Brigham Young University’s weekly devotional Tuesday in one of his first public addresses as prophet.
Oaks, who was named the 18th president of the church on Oct. 14, 2025, will address BYU students at 11:00 a.m. from inside the Marriott Center in Provo.
The devotional will be live streamed on BYUTV.org, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website, and will be on the church’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram pages.
Oaks served as the president of BYU from 1971 to 1980.
