One killed, two injured in traffic collision in Eagle Mountain

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office reported that an SUV and passenger car collided at 3:30 p.m. on Eagle Mountain Boulevard near 6384 North.
Following the crash, the passenger car caught on fire, and a sheriff’s deputy managed to get the driver out of the vehicle and attempted to render aid, but the individual died at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver and passenger were transported to local hospitals, according to a news release.
“Due to the severity of the incident, our detectives and Traffic Accident Investigation team are on scene,” the Utah County Sheriff’s Office said. “We are in the process of notifying the next of kin at this time.”
Eagle Mountain Boulevard closed for an extended period of time Wednesday due to the severity of the crash, according to police.
