Utah County girl dies after OHV rollover near West Mountain

An OHV rollover accident near West Mountain is pictured Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.A 14-year-old Utah County girl who was critically injured in an off-highway vehicle crash in West Mountain on Friday night died from her injuries Sunday.
According to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Division of Law Enforcement, the 0ff-highway vehicle, which contained six juvenile occupants, rolled over around 7 p.m. Friday.
First responders from Payson, Santaquin, Utah County and Life Flight responded to the incident. The girl was airlifted to a Salt Lake County hospital, while a 14-year-old boy was transported to a Utah County hospital and later a Salt Lake County hospital with significant injuries, a news release said.
Two female passengers also went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while a boy and a girl remained on the scene with minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation, according to law enforcement.
“The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends,” the news release said.
