Police released an inquiry Monday asking for anyone with home security or cell phone recordings that may have captured suspects or vehicles in the area around 10:50 p.m. Thursday night to contact the department at 801-852-6210.
“Ten minutes before, 10 minutes after (the shooting), that kind of range,” Provo police spokeswoman Jana-Lee Holland told the Daily Herald. “Any vehicles that are unusual or not typical for the neighborhood, or not recognized or acting suspiciously. Some footage may even show or have audio of the shots or any visuals. So anything neighbors may have.”
Police responded last Thursday to a report that multiple gun shots were heard in the Lions Park area at 1280 N. and 950 West. According to a news release, no one initially appeared to be injured, but a window at a nearby residence was damaged by a shot.
Upon continuing their search, though, a juvenile with a gun shot wound was “received in Orem” and transported to the Utah Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Holland said police believe the individual was injured in the Lions Park shooting, but that she could not expound on the details because they are a juvenile.
Police said there is no immediate risk to the community at this time.
