Man struck and killed by vehicle while fixing motorcycle on US 6 near Elberta

A motorcycle involved in a fatal crash on U.S. 6 near Elberta is shown.A 46-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night while working on his motorcycle in the lane of travel at U.S. Highway 6 between Eureka and Elbert.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the motorcycle had mechanical issues, and the owner was working on it in a dark area of the road. A westbound vehicle did not see the motorcycle and struck it and the man.
“Both the motorcycle and rider were thrown off the right shoulder,” UHP said. “The motorcycle driver suffered fatal injuries on scene.”
The second vehicle also rolled off the right shoulder, but the two occupants inside suffered only minor injuries, UHP said. A passenger of the vehicle was standing in the dirt on the shoulder and was not injured.
