Wildfire breaks out north of Birdseye in southern Utah County

A wildfire ignited Thursday afternoon in rural southern Utah County north of Birdseye, near U.S. 89.
Named the Anderson Point Fire, it had burned an estimated 15 acres as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday with structures being threatened, according to Utah Fire Info.
A Diamond Fork Helitack was initially on the scene, and a Type 1 helicopter and numerous engine crews were also responding to the blaze.
