KaezdenAn Orem familiy is seeking support from the community for their son who is in criticial condition after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike.
Michelle Pino said her son, Kaezden, was hit by a vehicle last week riding near Cherry Hill Elementary. She said he suffered a traumatic brain injury that required emergency brain surgury, including the removal of part of his skull due to bleeding and swelling on his brain.
Kaezden remains in Primary Children’s Hospital, where he is battling brain swelling and serious lung complications, Pino said.
“Our family is facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain road ahead,” Pino told the Daily Herald in an email. “As his mother, I spend my days sitting beside him, feeling helpless and wishing I could take this pain away. I’ve always worked hard to provide for my family, and asking for help is not something that comes easily to me. But right now, I need to be by my son’s side, and we are facing the financial strain of his hospitalization and recovery.”
Those interested in supporting Kaezden can do so on GoFundMe.
