Making memories with family, friends and neighbors and bringing together the community to celebrate — these are the aims of Vineyard Days, coming up the week after Memorial Day.

Our council and staff have planned activities throughout the week to give residents and visitors an opportunity to see all that Vineyard has to offer!

We kick off the week of Vineyard Days, on Tuesday, May 31, with a Better Days exhibit featuring the traveling statue of Martha Hughes Cannon. Residents can participate in a variety of learning activities about the role of women in Utah’s history. The exhibit will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Once the exhibit ends, we will be hosting an “Empowering Women” panel discussion in conjunction with Timpanogos Regional Hospital to help women find greater joy and direction in their careers.

Come enjoy “We Don’t Talk about Bruno” and the many other delights of “Encanto” for a movie at Grove park on Wednesday, June 1, at 9 p.m. Movies in the Park are one of Vineyard’s most beloved summer traditions — don’t forget to bring your chairs, blankets and popcorn.

Thursday, June 2, we’ve got two tournaments going on around the most popular games in the area — spikeball and pickleball.

Celebrating our rich Vineyard heritage is the focus of the celebration on Friday, June 3. Vineyard’s Heritage Commission has planned a fun day of free heritage-themed activities including pioneer games, bounce houses, a petting zoo and pony rides that will be going on from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, we will have a children’s entrepreneur market from 5-8 p.m. and the FUNdeMENTALS in concert from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Cornhole and kickball tournaments will also happen on Friday.

Saturday’s Family Fun Day will have something for everyone. We will have food trucks and vendors for every taste for you to check out. Bounce houses, rides and a rock climbing wall will be available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Each Vineyard household can receive 10 free tickets to use on these rides and additional tickets are available for purchase. The 10 free tickets must be picked up during Vineyard office hours prior to June 3, proof of residency is required.

In addition to rides, we will have a Touch-a-Truck event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Get up close, climb around and sit in the driver’s seat of all kinds of police, fire and public service vehicles. After the Touch-a-Truck event, Orem City will provide foam for the kids to play in at 6:30 p.m.

The evening of June 4th is not to be missed. From 6-7 p.m., we will have a comedy show before a concert by soulful singer Ryan Innes from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., provided by our title sponsor, Red Sign. A spectacular fireworks show will be the finale of our celebration and will start at 9:30 p.m.

Vineyard Days is not to be missed … its an exciting celebration spanning several days with something for everyone to enjoy in our beautiful city and all that it has to offer.

Many thanks to our sponsors and vendors who make these events possible! Full details and opportunities to register for different events can be found at http://vineyarddays.org.
