AMERICAN FORK

“Jingle All the Way” Children and Youth Art Show — Timpanogos Visual Arts and the Timpanogos Arts Foundation will present “Jingle All the Way” Children and Youth Art Show from Dec. 1 to Jan. 2 at American Fork Library. The entry fee is $5 per artist, limit two pieces. Drop off is set for 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Register online at http://TAFtix.com.

Events at the American Fork Library — Here are some upcoming events at the American Fork Library: Nov. 24-27: Library closed. Nov. 29: Holiday Magic on Main at 5:45 p.m. See Santa at the library as part of the Holiday Magic on Main. Dec. 1: Please Stay: Suicide Prevention at 7 p.m. Part of a three-part series on preventing suicide and finding peace for yourself and loved ones. Dec. 3: Utah Authors Day at 11 a.m. Celebrate local authors. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Dec. 5: Christmas in the Rotunda – Timpanogos Ringers at 7 p.m. Dec. 6: Adult Craft Class at 1 p.m. Dec. 6: Balcony Gallery Artist Reception at 6 p.m. Meet artists LaDean Nelson and Jackie Jensen and see their show, “It’s a Winter Wonderland.” Dec. 7: Snowy Lake Paint Night at 6:30 p.m. Participants make take the class in person or provide your own materials and participate over Zoom. Storytime — The American Fork Library is offering storytimes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Toddler Tales will be at 10 a.m., followed by Preschool Pals at 11 a.m. Preschool Pals will also be offered as a Zoom Storytime at 10 a.m. Wednesdays. Register at https://aflibrary.eventbrite.com.

CEDAR HILLS

“Night Out With Santa” — The YCC will present the annual Cedar Hills “Night Out With Santa at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5 in the Vista Room at the Community Center. Come early to see Santa arrive in his fire truck. Santa will then join everyone inside for a candy cane and refreshments. Please bring canned or non-perishable food for the YCC food drive to donate to Tabitha’s Way Food Pantry.

Karate classes — Classes offered by Cedar Hills Community Service creates a fun, multi-level karate training experience for children ages 6 and up, and adults. The one-hour classes are held Mondays and Wednesdays for different levels beginning Nov. 7. For more information, visit https://www.cedarhills.org/karate.

Vinyasa Yoga (mixed level) — Join Kristen Rutter at 9 a.m. every Wednesday at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center for a dynamic practice that unites body, mind and breath. Bring your own mat, strap and block (a limited number is available to borrow).

HIGH Fitness classes — This weekly class takes aerobics to the next level by combining modern fitness techniques, such as HIIT, plyometics, and intervals of strength and cardio with music. Classes are currently at 6 a.m. Mondays at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center. The drop-in rate is $5 and punch cards can be purchased at a discount. Social distancing will be in effect. Get HIGH with Dax — HIGH fitness classes will be offered twice weekly at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center — at 6 a.m. on Thursdays and a kids class for ages 6 to 16 at 4:15 p.m. on Fridays. The drop-in rate for the Thursday class is $3.50 while the Friday class is free. Social distancing will be in effect.

LINDON

Senior bus — The Lindon Senior Center has a bus and is able to offer rides to and from the center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This is available for Lindon resident seniors. Pick-ups are between 10 and 11 a.m. Drop-offs are between 1 and 2 p.m. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Contact the Senior Center front desk at (801) 769-8625.

PAYSON

Volunteer at the library — Friends of the Payson Library notes that residents can volunteer for an hour or less each month to help the library meet the needs of children and patrons. Volunteers are asked to offer ideas and support the group’s yearly book sale. OREM

Orem Chorale Christmas concert — The Orem Chorale is presenting its Christmas concert, “A Feast of Carols,” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, in the Orem Library Hall, 58 N. PROVO

A Pioneer Christmas — Celebrate an 1800s Christmas celebration with A Pioneer Christmas from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9; Saturday, Dec. 10; and Monday Dec. 12 at Provo Pioneer Village. There will be a festive program with music and dancing in the Carriage House at 6 p.m., 6:40 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Arrive early and take in the sights and sounds of the Village at Christmas, including storytellers, carolers, craftsmen, refreshments and a visit from Father Christmas. Mental health support groups — NAMI Utah offers free online support groups and classes for adults living with mental health conditions and for family members of loved ones living with mental health conditions. SARATOGA SPRINGS

Community Orchestra — The Saratoga Springs Community Orchestra holds practices on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the city offices, 1307 N. Commerce Drive. The orchestra will be preparing for Saratoga Splash Days and the December holiday concerts.

SPANISH FORK

Recreation news — Nov. 24: Festival of Lights begins. Nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. at Canyon View Park. Dec. 15: Winter Youth Volleyball early registration ends (grades 5-9). Dec. 29: Winter Youth Volleyball registration deadline (grades 5-9). Jan. 5: Little Hoopsters Winter Session early registration ends (1st and 2nd grades). UTAH COUNTY

Volunteers to help Kids On The Move — Each Friday and Saturday, Kids On The Move offers Respite Care, providing a free break to parents with special needs children. Families drop their children off at locations in Orem, Lehi and Springville where they are paired one-on-one with a volunteer to play for the evening. A nurse or behavior technician is also present to help oversee. The group is seeking 10 volunteers 16 years and older from 5:45 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday to help make this happen. Foster grandparents sought — Utah County is seeking senior volunteers to serve as foster grandparents. Volunteers must be limited-income individuals at least 55 years old and able to serve 15 or more hours per week. Volunteers serve as mentors, tutors and caregivers for children and youth at schools, hospitals, youth centers and similar organizations. Volunteers receive a non-taxable stipend, paid personal leave, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training and more. Utah County Home Visit Programs in need of donations — Utah County Health Department home visit programs are running low on donated resources such as baby blankets and diapers. The health department is asking Utah County community members to consider donating items or organizing service projects to assist in providing donations. The items most needed are new receiving blankets or small quilts and diapers. Other welcomed items include: infant “onesies,” knit hats and infant-appropriate board books. Items should be in new condition. Donations may be dropped off Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the following health department locations: Provo — 151 S. University Ave., Suite 1610, American Fork — 599 S. 500 East. Questions about the home visit programs should be directed to Bonnie Hardy at (801) 851-7026.
