Utah Valley University is ranked number 10 on the 2022 Forbes list of best-in-state employers. The ranking was based on an independent and anonymous survey of employees statewide who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. As part of the survey, employees were asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industries and states that stood out either positively or negatively.

This prestigious award is presented by Forbes and Statista, the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on August 24, 2022. It can currently be viewed on the Forbes website.

Based on the study’s results, Marilyn Meyer, UVU vice president of people and culture, said, “We are proud to be one of the top-ranked among the best-in-state employers. This ranking is especially meaningful because of its independent nature. The results show that our employees appreciate working for Utah Valley University and enjoy it enough to recommend it to those closest to them. We work hard to create an inclusive environment where people feel appreciated and enjoy coming to work. Because of our amazing employees, our students feel included and involved.”

Utah Valley University is Orem’s largest employer, the third largest employer in Utah County and the 14th largest employer in the state, with more than 5,000 employees. It values and encourages excellence, integrity, creativity and critical thinking. The university fosters an inclusive environment that promotes employee success and attracts a diverse array of high-performing professionals.
