Holiday Magic at the Park — Santa’s arrival on a fire truck will kick off Holiday Magic at the Park at around 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, at Robinson Park. At 6 p.m., there will be a tree lighting ceremony with Santa and the mayor. Santa will be available for visits until 8 p.m. There will also be food trucks, live entertainment, games, activities and more.

Christmas in the Rotunda Children’s Art Show — Artists ages 3 to 17 are invited to submit artwork for the Christmas in the Rotunda Children’s Art Show at the American Fork Library. This year’s theme is “All I want for Christmas … .” The signup deadline is Saturday, Dec. 9, and each entry will cost $5. Timpanogos Singers and Youth Choirs holiday concert — The public is invited to join the Timpanogos Singers and Youth Choirs for “Gloria: Joyful Music to Celebrate the Season” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Valentine Theater. The choirs will weave a tapestry for festive melodies with special guests, the Leaps & Bounds Dance Academy. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children and immediate family passes for $20. American Fork Symphony Christmas concert — Get ready for a magical holiday celebration with the American Fork Symphony at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, at the American Fork Junior High School Auditorium. Beloved holiday tunes will be performed and Santa will conduct a piece with the symphony. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for youth ages 6-18. Basic drawing techniques class — Children ages 8 to 18 can learn about basic drawing techniques with Jeff Bushman from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays at the TAF Creative Arts Center, 53 W. CEDAR HILLS

Meet Santa Night — The annual event is set for 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, in the Vista Room at the Cedar Hills Golf Club, 10640 N. Clubhouse Drive. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available. Bring a non-perishable food donation for Tabitha’s Way.

Jr. Jazz registration — Last chance to sign up. Late registration is open with a $10 fee. Children in second to ninth grades can sign up for this recreation league until full. The season will run from January to early March with all teams playing seven games each. Parents are also encouraged to sign up to coach. Food Truck Rally — Food trucks will be on hand every Wednesday at Harvey Park through the summer.

Vinyasa Yoga (mixed level) — Join Kristen Rutter at 8:15 a.m. every Wednesday at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center for a dynamic practice that unites body, mind and breath. Bring your own mat, strap and block (a limited number is available to borrow).

HIGH Fitness classes — This weekly class takes aerobics to the next level by combining modern fitness techniques, such as HIIT, plyometics, and intervals of strength and cardio with music. Classes are currently at 7 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center. The drop-in rate is $3.50 and punch cards can be purchased at a discount. LINDON

Senior bus — The Lindon Senior Center has a bus and is able to offer rides to and from the center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. This is available for Lindon resident seniors. Pick-ups are between 10 and 11 a.m. Drop-offs are between 1 and 2 p.m. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Contact the Senior Center front desk at (801) 769-8625.

OREM

Join the Orem Chorale — Members of the community are invited to join the Orem Chorale for the 2023-24 season. The group will meet weekly from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays in the Orem High School choir room September through May, except for major holidays and school breaks. The chorale is a non-audition community choir whose focus is to sing beautiful, uplifting music while honing musicianship and serve the community. Volunteer at the library — Friends of the Payson Library notes that residents can volunteer for an hour or less each month to help the library meet the needs of children and patrons. Volunteers are asked to offer ideas and support the group’s yearly book sale. PROVO

Pioneer Christmas — Provo Pioneer Village’s annual Pioneer Christmas will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8; Saturday, Dec. 9; and Monday, Dec. 11. The village will be celebrating like the Irish pioneers with an old-fashioned Celtic Christmas program featuring the Shelley School of Irish Dance at 5:30 p.m., 6:16 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Gatehouse. Admission is free and donations are accepted. All of the village’s cabins will be open for viewing. There will also be storytelling, blacksmiting, crafting demonstrations, refreshments, Father Christmas and more.

SARATOGA SPRINGS

Community Orchestra — The Saratoga Springs Community Orchestra holds practices on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. at the city offices, 1307 N. Commerce Drive. The orchestra will be preparing for Saratoga Splash Days and the December holiday concerts.

UTAH COUNTY

Mental health support groups and classes — NAMI Utah County offers free in-person and online support groups and classes for adults and teens living with mental health conditions and for family members of loved ones living with mental health conditions. Volunteers to help Kids On The Move — Each Friday and Saturday, Kids On The Move offers Respite Care, providing a free break to parents with special needs children. Families drop their children off at locations in Orem, Lehi and Springville where they are paired one-on-one with a volunteer to play for the evening. A nurse or behavior technician is also present to help oversee. The group is seeking 10 volunteers 16 years and older from 5:45 to 9:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday to help make this happen. Foster grandparents sought — Utah County is seeking senior volunteers to serve as foster grandparents. Volunteers must be limited-income individuals at least 55 years old and able to serve 15 or more hours per week. Volunteers serve as mentors, tutors and caregivers for children and youth at schools, hospitals, youth centers and similar organizations. Volunteers receive a non-taxable stipend, paid personal leave, transportation reimbursement, ongoing training and more. Utah County Home Visit Programs in need of donations — Utah County Health Department home visit programs are running low on donated resources such as baby blankets and diapers. The health department is asking Utah County community members to consider donating items or organizing service projects to assist in providing donations. The items most needed are new receiving blankets or small quilts and diapers. Other welcomed items include: infant “onesies,” knit hats and infant-appropriate board books. Items should be in new condition. Donations may be dropped off Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at the following health department locations: Provo — 151 S.
