As the fiscal year resets this July, Vineyard has announced a Public Safety Master Plan, economic development strategies, cemetery funds and a new firehouse aimed at enhancing the quality of life in our community. With a focus on public safety, parks and economic development, the city has an exciting lineup of capital projects for the upcoming year.

Master plans

One of the cornerstone initiatives is the Public Safety Master Plan. This comprehensive plan is designed to ensure the highest level of safety for residents by providing the best possible resources and infrastructure for public safety goals.

Vineyard’s Parks Master Plan is set to enhance and phase in the growth of the city’s parks, offering more recreational opportunities and open space. This plan underscores the city’s commitment to creating vibrant, accessible green spaces for all residents in a way that responsibly sets funding aside.

Growth initiatives

In the last few years, the City Council has planned for a community cemetery. This funding prioritizes Vineyard’s first cemetery to meet the community’s needs, providing a peaceful and respectful place for loved ones.

As the community matures, Vineyard is also prioritizing its Economic Development Strategic Plan, focused on boosting the local economy by attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones. This plan aims to create a thriving economic environment within the city and diversify the tax base.

Vineyard prioritizes safety, and the new firehouse is a perfect example. This new development pioneers the concept of small-scale fire services that allow better response times and enhanced community building. This investment will help teams better meet the needs of the growing community. The firehouse will house six full-time staff and be roughly the same size as a normal neighborhood home in the Cottonwoods neighborhood of Vineyard.

We are committed to working diligently to bring these plans to fruition, enhancing our community and making it an even better place to live, work and play.

Residents can look forward to these exciting developments as the city embarks on these transformative projects. With a clear vision and dedicated leadership, the future looks bright for our community.

Starting at $4.32/week.
