Spring and summer in Utah County offer more than good weather — they give us the opportunity to come together as neighbors and community members. After a long winter, these warmer months encourage us to get outside, reconnect and participate in the events and traditions that make our cities unique.

In Lehi, May marks the start of Beautify Lehi, a time when residents join together to clean up yards, public spaces and neighborhoods. It’s a simple effort but one that has a lasting impact on how our city looks and feels. It also serves as a reminder that maintaining our community is a shared responsibility.

May is also National Bike Month, and this year we encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the trails across our region. On May 10, the Golden Spoke event will highlight over 170 miles of connected trails — including the Murdock Canal Trail and Provo River Parkway in Utah County. These trails not only promote healthy living and outdoor recreation, they physically connect our cities and counties. You can learn more at goldenspoke.net.

Looking ahead to June, we’ll host the Lehi Round-Up, now in its 88th year. This long-standing tradition continues to bring our city together through the rodeo, parades and community events. It’s also a great opportunity for visitors to experience Lehi and for residents to welcome others into our city. This year’s theme, “Adventure Awaits,” reflects the spirit of the Round-Up and the strength we find in community. We’re pleased to welcome country artist Drew Baldridge as our featured concert performer.

Every city in Utah County offers its own events and traditions during the spring and summer months. Whether you live in Lehi or elsewhere in the valley, I encourage you to take time this year to explore, participate in and support what your neighboring communities are doing. It’s a simple way to strengthen regional ties and build a sense of shared purpose.

There’s value in showing up — not just for events, but for each other.
