Rep. Stephen Whyte named to vice president position at RMUoHP

Stephen Whyte poses for a photo.Stephen Whyte has been named the new vice president of communications, marketing, and enrollment at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, effective Dec. 1.
“We are very blessed to have Stephen join the RMUoHP family,” said Richard P. Nielsen, the president and CEO of RMUoHP, in a press release. “His extensive academic background and national communication expertise will further help position RMUoHP as a national leader in healthcare education. The respect he has earned from the business, professional, higher education, and political arenas across the state will be an incredible addition as we work to fulfill the university’s mission and vision.”
Whyte received both a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from Brigham Young University.
Whyte was previously named the associate vice president of university relations and university marketing and communications at Utah Valley University in 2017. He has also served as an international affairs specialist in Washington D.C. and was recently sworn into the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 65 in Mapleton, replacing Francis Gibson.
