Nicholas, Irena and their four children need a special Santa’s helper this year.

Both parents are international college students living on scholarships, and that makes money tight for them.

Irena said being on a scholarship limits their ability to get jobs. Since they currently can not work, they are extremely grateful for programs like Sub of Santa that allow them to have gifts for their children during the holidays.

“I am amazed by the kindness and love that the community has and how people are willing to help strangers and give them the opportunity to celebrate the holidays,” Irena said.

Here are a few items their children need and would like. The three male children all are in need of hoodies or sweatshirts, socks and sweatpants or joggers. Their ages range from 7 to 14.

The oldest is 14 and wears a size large in pants and shirts. His shoe size is an adult 11. His favorite color is red. He would like some comics or cartoon books and books on science. He would also like some headphones and Roblox toys.

The next boy is 10 and wears a pant size 12/14 and shirt size 12. His shoe size is and adult 7. His favorite color is blue. He likes books on science, space and animals.

The youngest boy is 7 and wears a pant size 10 and shirt size 8/10 and a shoe size 1. His favorite color is green. He would like books on animals, particularly dogs and on science. He would like Roblox toys and animal plushies.

The only girl in the family is 5 and needs pants, sweaters and boots. Her pant size is a children’s 6/7, shirt size 6/7 and shoe size children’s 11. She would like princess books and ones on animals and educational type books. She would like a Baby Alive Doll, accessories and table games.
