“I stay inside and look at it because I don’t like being in the snow. I’m a fairly new mom, so I like to stay indoors to do crafts with my kids. We like to watch movies. Cocoa is a big, big drink we have this time of year.” — Kelsey Peterson, Springville
“I love going snowshoeing. We have some really beautiful trails you can snowshoe on on Maple Canyon. It’s kind of like this flat, wide, attachment to your shoe, so it kind of helps you stay on top of the snow, and you get to enjoy all of the beautiful, untouched areas of snow up the canyon without getting stuck in the snow. I go with family. My husband likes to go too, but my parents love snowshoeing as well, so sometimes I go with them. I just think it’s beautiful. You get to see all of the trees covered in the snow, and not a lot of people hit the trails as soon as the snow comes, so it’s really peaceful.” — Witney Bayles, Springville
“Right now, stay inside, but normally I would like to go snowmobiling. I have a snowmobile, and I go up into Payson Canyon and take off into the snow, go up into the mountains. I usually go with my son, my son-in-law, my friends — we are thinking about going tomorrow even. I have a friend that’s coming in from England that I’m going to pick up in a few minutes, and he’s never been snowmobiling, so I thought I would take him and my son and go. … It’s exhilarating, it’s out away from the pollution, it’s just a lot of fun. Sometimes all you see is sky, and you feel like you’re in space. It’s really cool.” — Howard Hayes, Spanish Fork
“Probably just play with the dogs in the snow, or puppies. Build the snowman and then the brother knocks them down. Just throw snowballs, and throw balls, and throw their toys, and just watching them run, and throw the snow over their heads while they’re running. It’s just fun, it’s funny. Outside family stuff, I like going snowmobiling, snowboarding, and sledding. We like going sledding. It’s a nice change.” — Brandon Jarvis, Springville
“I like to curl up with a book and drink hot chocolate. Probably every time it snows. Yeah, I like to stay in because I’m older. I like to do it by myself or with my family. They all go out and play in the snow, so I don’t mind staying home with my grand-puppies, and sit in front of the fire, drink hot chocolate. That’s ultimately my favorite thing to do anytime, but it’s really great. Especially when it’s snowing and trying not to look out there, and know I don’t have to go out and drive in it. So, I like to wait ’til it’s all gone before I come back out.” — Robyn Baughman, Provo
