Editor’s note: The Daily Herald is launching a new community question series. Every week, we’ll ask five local residents to tell us their thoughts about a particular issue and then publish their responses and a photo of each.

“My work — we can’t get what we need to send to the people. So it’s causing me problems in my work life. And then when you go to multiple stores to get one thing. Like, I have a grandson and we can’t get formula. When you have a baby it’s concerning.” — Tammy Meikle, Provo

“Oh my gosh, it’s like grocery prices have gone up so much. So that’s kind of the main thing. It kind of feels artificial, like they’re inflating things.” — Ashleigh Boss, Provo

“The gas. The shortage in gas. I drive a truck and it costs me a fortune.” — Justin Alex, Provo

“I guess things are more expensive. That’s hard when I’m kind of a broke college student.” — Kate Homer, Provo

“I’m not happy about it but I heard it’s going to get worse. I am not looking forward to that.” — Dave Larsen, Provo
