An apparent shooting early Saturday in Orem left multiple people injured, police said on social media.

According to a Facebook post by the Orem Police Department, officers were dispatched at around 1:15 a.m. to the Midtown 360 apartment complex on a report of shots fired.

“Officers arrived in the area and found evidence of the shooting outside the building,” the post stated. “The Metro SWAT Team was deployed and served a warrant on an apartment where a suspect was located in the same complex.”

According to the post, “several people” were taken into custody following an initial investigation, though it gave no names of those arrested. “Several” people also were injured in the incident, it said, though none of them critically.

Attempts to reach the Police Department for comment were unsuccessful Saturday. OPD’s post said more information will be released Monday.
