Alice has been working to provide for her three kids but realized she had to make her own life better to make that happen.
“I’ve been going through my sobriety journey and taking so many classes in order to be the best human and mom that I can be for my family,” Alice said. “Because of that, I’ve been unable to get a job and get Christmas presents for my kids.”
United Way hopes that the community will be able to help Alice and her family this holiday season, providing a boost through the Sub for Santa program.
Her eldest daughter, 13-year-old Zoey, could use a hoodie, joggers and pajamas but would also love to have teen romance and Twilight books to read as well as gifts like lip balm, Labubu items and squishmallows.
Nate, 5, could also use clothes like hoodies, long-sleeve shirts and a zip-up jacket. Also on his list are Pokemon, Spiderman and dinosaur books as well as Spiderman and dinosaur figures.
Penny, 1, would love to get a magnetic drawing board and shape games along with baby books and bedtime stories. She loves princesses and also needs a hood, leggings and a long-sleeve shirt.
