Smoke billows up from the wreckage where an under-construction apartment complex burned in a massive fire in Lehi on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2025.

A large fire erupted at a Lehi apartment complex under construction Sunday morning, engulfing the structure in flames and sending smoke billowing into the air.

The fire, which occurred near Flight Park Road in the Traverse Mountain area, was contained with no reported injuries, according to a city news release, and did not pose a threat to any nearby homes.

According to the city, the Lehi Fire Department responded to the fire around 10:17 a.m. and found a four-story structure and an adjacent one-story structure “fully engulfed in flames.”

Though the fire was contained, Lehi asked people Sunday afternoon to avoid the north end of Traverse Mountain, including Flight Park Road and nearby walking trails.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office and fire departments from Spanish Fork, Draper, Saratoga Springs, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Orem, Utah County and Lone Peak all responded to the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Starting at $4.32/week.
