After a 2 1/2-year closure, the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will reopen this week for a public open house.

The church released photos of the renovated interior Monday ahead of the open house, which will start Wednesday and run through May 1, excluding Sunday.

The temple, which was originally dedicated in 2000, will then be rededicated on Sunday, May 19 by President Henry B. Eyring.

The temple is the only temple in the state of Oklahoma, and was closed in October of 2017 for the renovation project.
