Letter: Respect one another despite our differences

Nov 19, 2022

We are all entitled to be ourselves, but not to the disrespect of others. We are all different in our own way. Just because we don’t agree on everything does not mean that I hate you or will hate you. We should all be free to have our own thoughts, to believe what we believe and say what we wish to say. It’s important to be yourself instead of being someone that you’re not. Nonetheless we still need to be mindful of what we say, and how we interpret what others say. We must first put ourselves in the shoes of others before we judge the man who is speaking.

We speak on helping and serving others but when will we actually get up and act on the words said. When we help and serve others instead of sitting back and dwelling in our own judgment. When we find understanding and respect not only for the people who share our beliefs but those whose beliefs are different from ours. We will be able to be more harmonious and find peace and progression, we will finally find respect in our society.
