Letter: Curtis resolution a great step in climate fight

Oct 15, 2022

As chair of National Clean Energy Week (NCEW), I thank Congressman John Curtis (R-Utah) for introducing a bipartisan resolution recognizing September 26-30, 2022, as National Clean Energy Week (NCEW).

Americans in both parties agree, reducing emissions and lowering energy costs for families should not be a partisan issue. Rep. Curtis helped lead the charge — bringing together Republicans and Democrats to strengthen and praise America’s clean energy industry with this resolution.

“Regardless of party, we can all agree that less emissions are better than more emissions,” said Representative Curtis. ”I am honored to stand side by side with my colleagues, and especially my Democratic co-lead and friend Representative Lowenthal, celebrating National Clean Energy Week as we work with partners across the world to reduce emissions and innovate for our future.”

NCEW organizers look forward to continuing our work with Rep. Curtis to foster bipartisan support on clean energy solutions in Utah and throughout the United States.
