Letter: Useful acronyms for our political present
It is difficult to believe that a president who campaigned on the principle of unity would instead be so divisive and partisan as to insult half of the voters by referring to them as “extremists” and the “greatest threat to democracy”. Since when, and in whose vocabulary did MAGA, an acronym for Make America Great Again, become a negative phrase? The United States of America is an exceptional country. Paving a way for it to improve and get back to the principles that made it exceptional, is noble and worthwhile.
Given his track record and history of policies, perhaps this president would prefer these acronyms as our rally cry:
MAMI — Make America’s Military Ineffective
MITEE — Make Inflation The Economic Engine
MADOFE — Make America Dependent on Foreign Energy
MABOC — Make America’s Border Open to Cartels
MATPUD — Make American Taxpayers Pay University Debt
On second thought, why don’t we just replace the elected officials who promote these failed policies. I urge everyone to vote Republican in November and send a message that we are ready to discard these failed policies and get back to what worked to the benefit of our country.
