Letter: Why Glenn Wright is the right choice for Utah District 3
The upcoming election, rightly deemed the most crucial of our lifetime, demands our full attention. While most media focus has been on the top of the ticket, down-ballot races will make the most impact in our daily lives. With John Curtis vacating his congressional seat, Utah has a unique opportunity to challenge the status quo. For the first time in years, we have a legitimate chance to see a change in leadership–to elect a leader who is powered by the people, not big government or big corporations.
The race’s choice between Glenn Wright and Mike Kennedy is crystal clear. Glenn Wright’s campaign is fueled by Utah’s voices, a stark contrast to Kennedy’s approach. Wright not only understands the environmental issues that our state is facing but also advocates for personal agency and autonomy for every Utahn.
The environmental crisis cannot be put on the back burner any longer. While republican officials in Congress continue to pander to fossil-fuel companies and push anti-climate conspiracies, Wright provides a logical path forward that is driven by science and respect for the beautiful state that is Utah.
Wright is the only option on the ballot that will work to secure personal autonomy for District 3 and all Americans. Kennedy supported the overturning of Roe v. Wade, a decision that stripped millions of women of the right to control their bodies. Wright understands that women’s rights are human rights and that the women of Utah deserve better.
District 3 constituents are at a pivotal moment. We can either continue down the same path with leadership that does not truly reflect our needs, or we can choose a new path–a path of freedom. Your vote is not just a choice; it’s a powerful tool for change. It’s the key to shaping the future of our district and our state.
