She was born Priscilla Jean Holm on June 28, 1930, to Clarence Anton Holm and Edna Marie Holm. She was delivered by her Grandmother Boyack, who was a mid-wife. Jean was the third of six children in her family. Jean had the unique opportunity of being raised by her Grandma Boyack for the first 15 years of her life. When she discovered boys at the age of 15, Grandma sent her back to live with the rest of her family.

Jean met her future husband, Jack Dansie, on a blind date when she was 17, and they were married on August 9, 1948. She spent the next 56 years following Jack, as he chased one dream after another. During that time, five children were born, and the family moved at least 26 times . . . Jean became a master at being able to pack up the household, including five kids, a few dogs, as well as horses, within a few days and move on to the next adventure that life gave her. Along the way, they lived in Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, and ended up back in Spanish Fork, when Jack passed away in 2004.

Jean then built a home in Spanish Fork and sat back to enjoy the visits from her family, which had grown to include 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; in-laws, Clarence and Grace Dansie; brothers and spouses: Bud and Anna Dell Holm; Frank and Kenna Holm; sister-in-law, Karla Holm; sisters and spouse: Ileen and George Robertson; Francis and Sheldon Hathaway; son-in-law, Jim D Eardley; in-laws: Bob Dansie, Donald and Laurel Dansie; Monte and Margie Dansie; Eva Mae and Everett Hansen; Keith Hansen; and Ed Holt.

Jean is survived by her children: Craig (JoAnn) Dansie of Nephi, Utah; Brenda J. Taylor of Spanish Fork, Utah; Karen D. Eardley of Mountain View, Wyoming; Jackie Durrant and Brent Fisher of Payson, Utah; Kayleen (Bruce) Evans of Nephi, Utah. Also survived by her brother, Dean Holm; in-laws: Berta Lou Holt, Gracie Hansen, Evalyn Dansie, Cllint (Ann) Dansie, Randy (Phyllis) Dansie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Jean will be held Tuesday morning, August 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
