Earl Nay

Our family lost a great man! Earl Nay, 79, passed peacefully on December 4, 2021, after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Earl was born to Clifton and Iva Taylor Nay on July 18, 1942, in Loa, Utah. He was the third of six children and was raised in West Mountain. He graduated from Payson High School. After, he attended Snow College, and then enlisted and served in the United States Army in the All American 82nd Airborne Unit. He retired as a Master Sergeant.

Earl married Marjorie Warren on August 25, 1966, and they were blessed with three children. They divorced in 1988.

He met his beloved Diana Turner in 2004 and married her on June 7, 2014. While driving a school bus for the Alpine School District, they would stay the week at her place and weekends at his. After he retired, she moved to be with him in Fairview, Utah.

Although retired from bus driving and civil service, Earl worked hard and owned a janitorial business. He still took time for his beautiful black Tennessee Walkers. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gardello and Clyde Nay, and a sister, MaryAlice Jasper.

He is survived by his wife Diana; children, Margo Nay Jimenez, Greg (Amy) Nay, Kristine (Timoteo) Vargas, Duff (Lori) Turner, and Randy Turner; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 13, 2021, at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. A viewing will be held prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
