Jane Ann Beck Cole, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Salem, Utah on December 28, 2021.

Jane Ann was born October 22nd, 1931 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Ross F and Erma Brown Beck. Jane Ann was married to her high school sweetheart Donald C. Cole for 69 and a half years. They were married on July 9, 1952 in Spanish Fork, Utah. They solemnized their marriage in the Manti Temple on September 24, 1963.

Jane Ann graduated from Spanish Fork High School and Seminary. She attended the Utah Technical College studying secretarial. She worked at Glades Drive In to put Don through college and taught piano lessons for many years. She also loved and cared for the Clayson girls while their mother taught school and baby Amber Colbert while her mother conducting primary after school. She was a board member of the Ladies of the Utah National Guard. She was a devoted and outstanding wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Jane Ann was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Relief Society Presidency, Primary, and played piano and organ for many years as well as at many funerals.

Jane Ann was a very talented pianist and organist. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, ceramics, camping, fishing, family vacations, and being a snowbird in Florence, Arizona for over 30 years. She liked to watch old western movies and sports programs. She was an avid supporter of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren’s activities whether it be sports, school, or special interests. Jane Ann was a wonderful cook and was known for her famous shrimp dip, Potato salad and Huckleberry pies. She treasured playing cards and games with the grandchildren and having family reunions. Jane Ann traveled with Don all around the US while Don was in the military and when Don retired, they spent summers traveling around Alaska with friends. Jane Ann also spent many years on fishing trips to Washington and Dillion Montana with Don, her family and the Utah National Guard friends. Jane Ann had so many friendships that she enjoyed on these occasions. Jane Ann has traveled many miles with trailer and boat in tow.

Jane Ann is survived by her husband, Donald Clausen Cole; her sons: Glen Thad (Julie) Cole, and Michael Don (Natalie) Cole; sister Barbara (Dallas) Adams; brother Edward (Barbara Ann) Beck; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Jane Ann was preceded in death by her son Don Ross Cole; parents Ross F Beck, Erma Brown Beck Boyack, and stepfather Glen Boyack; sister Erma Lee (Dick) Bills; in-laws Thad and Ella Sheen Cole; brother in-laws: Douglas (Doris) Cole; Stanley H. (Cally) Cole; sister in-laws Jane (Art) Jex, and Grace Cole.

A viewing will be held Sunday evening, January 2, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. A second viewing from 9:45-10:45 a.m. will be held Monday morning, January 3, 2022, at the Salem West Stake Center, 695 South 300 West, Salem, Utah 84653. Funeral will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Salem City Cemetery.
